How to prepare for the next round of NRL action in 2017?
The NRL is looking to increase the number of fans on the field, with an announcement this week that the AFL will be able to host its home and away series at a different stadium in 2017.
The AFL will host its first home and one away series in Melbourne, with the grand final taking place at Etihad Stadium.
This will be the first time in the AFL’s history that two clubs will play at the same venue in 2017, with Melbourne City’s clash against the Sydney Swans set to take place at the MCG.
Ticket holders will be allowed to enter the ground from 6.00pm on Friday and Saturday.
AFL clubs will have a two-hour time limit from 6:00pm and the first two innings of each match will be played in the afternoon.
NRL teams will be permitted to have two home matches in 2017 and there will be a maximum of four teams playing in each fixture.
Each club will have five players on the sidelines during the first round of matches.
More than 100 players will have been selected to play at least two games during the season, with four teams each featuring four players.
As part of the agreement, each club will also be allowed three home finals games, with two games being played in Sydney and one in Melbourne.
Tickets for the first four home finals are available at a discounted price of $300 for single matches and $1,500 for double matches.
Ticketing is available online at www.australianrugby.com/football, or by calling 1300 333 000.
